DENISE
REPRESENTED BY CHRISTINA HILTSCHER

“I get my creative inspiration from looking behind the façade, capturing deep and layered emotions behind and beyond female beauty”
Denise was born in Lausanne, Switzerland and always liked to draw. For her it was natural to choose a creative profession.
After graduating as a decorator, she attended art school in Geneva. Denise taught drawing in various schools in Lausanne and at the same time offered her own courses in nude drawing.
In 1994 Denise found her calling and began to create sculptures. She was strongly influenced by the professional guidance and support of artist Jacques Barman. For two years she has been focusing on working without models and pre-dominantly with clay, capturing emotions and expressing real life. Denise loves humanity, stands up for equal rights and mainly sculpts women, to give a voice to all women of all walks of life.
Her latest series is called emotions. The mini – statue on the statue is one of her trademarks representing the “emotion “.
